A Season in Hawaii...

Hi Friends,

I never thought I’d be writing this, but I’m moving to Hawaii for 8 months!

As friends, family, and people I deeply love, I’m writing to share a life and ministry update. I invite your prayer, faith in “sending me” and, if the Lord leads you, your investment financially. The bulk of my fees are due August 20th.

DETAILS

I will be participating in an 8 month discipleship school, with an emphasis on prayer and worship. The school is called Ekballo (it’s Greek for “send forth”... “Ask the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers…”). Ekballo is the ministry school under Lou Engle and the Call (a national organization integral to the prayer movement). It’s located on the southern tip of the big island, and the school runs from mid-September to mid-May.

WHY

I’m just responding to Jesus, because this was not part of my plan.

“Greater things are yet to come, Greater things are still to be done in this city” – God of this City, Chris Tomlin

Early this summer, my heart and my plans were open before the Lord. “God of this City” was on my heart, and started singing it about Eugene. That’s when I heard God say, “But I love you more than ministry, and I’m sending you to Ekballo.” I heard the leaders of Ekballo speak two weeks prior, and they impressed me with their hearts, history in ministry and the purpose of their school.

This past month, I kept the idea of going to Ekballo before the Lord, received counsel from trusted friends and mentors, and researched the school. I found nothing to keep me from saying “yes.”

I believe with all my heart, greater things are to come in Eugene as we pray and obey. I hope this 8 month season of my life equips me to come home, and continue in those greater things in the place I grew up.

THANKFUL

I am deeply thankful for my years serving with One Hope. Some of the greatest treasures of my heart are the relationships I’ve developed, the Big Church of Lane County, and the way God is moving in the greater Eugene community. Because “greater things are yet to come,” I hope the Lord sends me home to continue doing ministry here.

With deep love and appreciation for you,

Kaylee
